I have been busy with candy making. We always have about 300-400 trick or treaters. We buy candy for them but I make alot and we have a houseful every year. These are given out to the children we know. What a fun time of year. It's also my hubby's birthday.

I guess I'll start with peanut butter eyeballs

next frog truffles (orange chocolate cream filled)

Want you to notice how I keep the chocolate warm, also I have found a new use for baby spoons

I made oreo balls but I think the chocolate got too warm.

WOW, that's alot of trick or treaters. Are they ever lucky. I love those eyeballs!! I see in the store they have all kinds of treats now. Even small cans of juice with halloween critters on the can. I bought lots of candy, some small halloween bags of pretzels and these halloween sized bags of microwave popcorn. Kids get so much candy so I thought I'd mix it up a bit. I'm sure they prefer the candy - I know mine do.

More and more people are getting into it with all their decorations and treats. How fun!!!

thanks for the pics lovespink. They look great. Also, I made cupcakes that look like pumpkins for my coworkers and my boyfriend's coworkers and forgot to take a pic.

But maybe next time I will remember

300-400 trick or treaters!!!!!! WHEWWWWWWW I don't think I could afford that.

My doorbell rang 3 times with a total of 7 kids and 1 mom! I planned on 16 kids from the subdivision. Now I have leftovers as T-OR-T time is over!

Thanks for the comments on the candy

As I come down from my sugar high I had to report that once again Halloween was quite the success!!
Gave out 300 pieces of candy, Ran out at 7:30 and had to turn the lights out. I figure the little ones had already been around and it was time to close the door. Our guests got to take home frogs,(I put them in little clear bags) I didn't mention that I had made cream filled cupcakes.YUM YUM I'm glad its outa here !!!!
opieslady, I bet your pumkin cupcakes were cute. When I dipped the oreo balls in the orange chocolate that was my original thought to make pumkins. Since I didn't like how they came out,I didn't continue. btw, we ate them anyway

Please LovesPink, I want the recipe for the eyeballs!! It's one of the halloween treats I've ever seen - and you were right - I really do enjoy my Accolade, glad you talked me into it! Now I have the slowcooker too.

redigers, Here it is.........

Peanut butter eyeballs

1-1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup butter,softened
1t vanilla extact
12 oz. white candy coating
M&Ms
red decorating gel

In mixing bowl, cream peanut butter, butter and vanilla. Gradually beat in powdered sugar. Shape into 1 inch balls, cover and chill atleast 30 minutes.
Melt candy in microwave with 1 T shortening, stir until smooth.
Dip balls into coating; place on wax paper. Place M&M plain side up,
do this before chocolate has set. zig zag some red gel for the bloodshot eyes.

You will love your accolade for this . Years ago I would do this by hand to make buckeyes and also Easter eggs.
