Hello everyone! SO I am now a proud new owner of a 5 qt Pro HD from costco! This is my first ever stand mixer and of course I had to go with KA!

Thanks to the many KA'ers out there who have made my choice easier and yet harder at the same time as I now have an itch for the Pro 600! So for the longest time I was stuck between the 2 as they are only a $25 difference for me. I decided to stick to the Pro HD as I am basically buying the awesome return "gurantee" from costco.

SO YAY! I now have a mixer and as a new KA owner the first thing I did when I got home was turn the machine on as I had no idea what the noise level would be like as I have never owned a stand mixer. It is surprisingly more quiet than I imagined :) I am definitely one happy customer. HOwever there is still this insecure feeling I get in the back of my head whether or not I got the right one (the force is definitely strong in that 600! hehe).

Ok sorry to bore you all with my LONG post. I am now stuck with the task of what to name the newest member of my family and what I will be putting him/her to work with first!

Hello and welcome, mshazy!!! That was smart to go with the Costco model and the great guarentee. What color did you get? What have you been making with it? You can always get a Pro 600 in the future and have TWO mixers!!! Now doesn't that sound like fun?!?!

hehe I have a white one its the best colour as I'm sure you'll agree .

I made bread and I posted it on the "what do you use your mixer for" topic and I see that you have already found me there so I will just continue it there.....

Yes, definitely go with Cooknup's suggestion and get a Pro 600 later to add to your collection. It's inevitable. Surrender.

Luvs,
Jo

P.S. Naming your first mixer isn't that tough. Naming the second one can be a whole 'nother story. My Pro 600 is still Devo/Jacko/Black Betty.
