Check out shopKitchenAid.com's latest feature! The Color Coordinator allows our consumers to group appliances by color. For instance, if a customer owns an EMPIRE RED stand mixer and would like to know what other products are available in EMPIRE RED they can simply click on the "View EMPIRE RED Products" button to see other appliances in that same color.

So cool Nice to plan it all in color. Or if wanted, a rainbow...

I was wondering if anyone knows of any companies that provide "skins" for the Kitchenaid Stand mixer? Like what people put on their Gameboys, Playstations and laptops...A set of decals to customize their kitchenaid for those of us who were kind of stuck getting the white one.
Thanks, Chris

The color data base is a great feature. I haven't bought a Kitchenaid yet but this discussion forum helps.
Thanks |

Wonderful idea to have that info online!
But . . . my new mixer is a Pro600 in Pearl Metallic. I didn't see that listed in the color coordinator.
I've been looking at the ProLine Chef Blender. According to the KA website, that blender comes in ProLine Metallic and Nickel Pearl. The color ID portion of the model number for the ProLine Metallic is "PM" - which is the same color code used for my Pearl Metallic mixer.
So, is the ProLine Metallic blender the same color/finish as the Pearl Metallic Pro600 bowl-lift mixer?
And, what about the new KSB560 and SKB580 blenders? Are any of those colors/finishes the same as my Pearl Metallic mixer?

What you want to look for when shopping is the color code at the end of the model number. PM is Pearl Metallic, NP is Nickle Pearl and MC is a Metallic Chrome.

Thanks, KA Krystal!
I was hoping that was the case!
After I posted my question, I noticed that the www.kitchenaid.com website calls the PM color for the ProLine Chef blender "ProLine Metallic" but the www.shopkithenaid.com website calls it "Pearl Metallic."
Glad to know that the PM color code - regardless of what color it's called on different web pages - will indeed be the same as my mixer!

I was surprised not to see Cobalt Blue which is what I have. I thought that would be a common color to match. Carol |

My "Big Blue" Professional 6 stand mixer is in Cobalt Blue. Love that color but it's being phased out.

| How can we get KA to not phase out cobalt blue? I have a kitchen full of it and to be able to keep buying stuff in that color! Phasing out a very popular color stinks. |

Chris, there's this guy called deco dan that does custom paint jobs for standmixers. Usually he deals with alot of older mixers but I have seen him do some really neat things with the new ones too! Check out his site. www.decodan.com

Oh now I am worried. I just ordered a KV250 in "gloss cinnamon" from QVC. I chose that color because the mixer in "red" looked a bit orange compared to all of my Kitchenaid hand tools and gadgets, but on this site the gloss cinnamon looks a but purple or brown. Ideally I would have bought "empire red" but that did not seem to be one of the color choices on QVC. Well I will know in a few days if I have to return it for "red".
This is one reason I hate to buy online, but I could not find that mixer in ANY store in my city. |

You know, I heard that there are some decals on ebay for the standmixers. I'm not sure if they would damage the finish but I did find them. Here's the link to what I found for flames.

Is there some place I can find the PM Pearl Metalic, NP Nickel Pearl, and MC Metallic Chrome colors side-by-side to compare them? I thought they might all three be on the Color Palate pages, but no such luck. I saw one MC back before Christmas. And I'm sorry, folks, but I just don't think that Metalic Chrome paint job does justice to the beauty of the KA mixers. Seemed rather dull for a bright word like 'chrome'. So I was wondering what the PM and NP looked like before I give up on doing a bright 'bling-bling' filled countertop and settle for a color.
